Jessica Rose - February 29, 2016

For the second year running DreamFactory was proud to sponsor PHP UK. Jennifer, Jill and Ben attended last year and had so much fun that we had to let some other members of the team attend the 2016 event. Tom and Drew packed up and left Atlanta to join Jess on their first trip to the UK. Jess gave a short keynote during the event, talking about how cognitive biases like impostor syndrome impact our abilities.

We gave away 350 T-shirts over the 2 day event and got the chance to talk to at least as many of you about DreamFactory, APIs and about the projects you’re working on. We had a giveaway and managed to give away our two Raspberry Pi 2s to lucky attendees, but our BB-8 Sphero is still unclaimed! If you gave us your email address, it might be a good time to check your inbox to see if you’re our lucky winner.

We love events like PHP UK because they give us a unique opportunity to speak to and with the developer communities we hope to serve through DreamFactory. Getting to meet and talk with developers using DreamFactory lends us a more complete picture of what we’re doing right and how we can be better supporting you. We love sponsoring events like PHP UK because it gives us the privilege of being able to help support the exchange of ideas throughout our communities. As we expand our community outreach efforts, we’re hoping to be present at more events as sponsors, speakers and attendees. A list of our upcoming events can be found at our events page. If there’s someplace you would love to see us, let us know in the comments below.
