DreamFactory 2.8 adds FTP, WebDav, IBM Informix, and MQTT

DreamFactory 2.8 just shipped! The 2.8 release is packed with new features, including support for FTP, SFTP, FTPS, WebDav, IBM Informix, MQTT, and SAML/OpenID SSO. Head on over to Bitnami or GitHub to install DreamFactory 2.8.

  • API enhancements
    • Added FTP, SFTP, FTPS, and WebDav as file services.
    • Added MQTT as an IoT service.
    • Added SSO support for SAML and OpenID Connect.
    • Added IBM Informix as a database service (requires DreamFactory Silver/Gold license).
    • Added event scripting interface to API Limits for triggering limit alerts (requires DreamFactory Gold license).
    • Added service and resource information to Logstash API.
    • Cleanup to improve pull event map and API docs from services.
    • Made DELETE behavior consistent across local and remote file services.
    • Fixed issue creating Belongs_To and Many_Many relationship records in database services.
    • Fixed boolean type filters in Postgres.
  • Miscellaneous enhancements and bug fixes
    • Reworked event structure to allow non-API driven service events.
    • Reworked lookup storage and modeling to ease session usage.
    • Now caching CORS config.
    • Now allowing empty lookup values.
    • Improved handling for date and time fields, including microseconds and timezone adjustments.
    • Added support for PDO constants directory in database config options.
    • Fixed migrations and other issues for SQL Server when using the DBLIB driver.
    • Added support for new regions in AWS services.
    • Fixed S3 file listing when number of files is too large.
    • Added username field for LDAP integration to shadow user.
    • Added DF_JWT_USER_CLAIM env option to include user attribute in JWT.
    • Fixed Vagrant box provisioning script for Cassandra driver.
